History

Forwarding company C. van den Heuvel & Zonen B.V. was founded on November 26, 1929 by Cees van den Heuvel living in Gorinchem. In the beginning, the transport orders were carried out by cargo bike and moped, not much later by car and truck. A messenger house was soon established in Gorinchem and messenger and shipping services were established.

In 1980, Hans de Graaf joined the company and to this day he is still in charge. Various courier services and transport companies were taken over for the expansion of the permits and because of this growth we moved from Gorinchem to Werkendam.

In mid-2001, C. van den Heuvel & Zonen BV was taken over by Joop de Ruyter from Meerkerk, but the name of the company remained unchanged. De Ruyter Trucks Meerkerk buys, sells, rents out and repairs trucks and vans of all kinds of brands.
